★ Day by Day

Seven Days. Carnival Season.

Bryant came out at 29 in this city. He's been through 6 Carnivals. He knows the rooms, the sequences, which nights to sleep through, and which ones you don't leave before 6am.

Day 01 · Arrival + Farme de Amoedo

Land. Walk to Posto 9. Pink Flamingo at 9pm.

Your Concierge meets you at GIG, drops you at the apartment. Quick walk to Posto 9 for the first beach hour. The Carnival energy is already everywhere, the city starts weeks before the official dates.

Evening: Farme de Amoedo bar crawl, the gay strip just off the beach. Bofetada and the surrounding bars form the warmup circuit. Then Pink Flamingo from 9pm, nightly during Carnival, fashion-forward crowd, drag performances, the room that tells you what energy the week is running at.

Rio Carnival night party, Pedra do Sal
Day 02 · Bloco Morning + Casa Black

Morning bloco. Beach. Casa Black at night.

Morning bloco (Sargento Pimenta or Bloco da Favorita): street Carnival that starts before noon, thousands of people moving through the neighborhood behind a truck and a sound system, costumes optional, caipirinha mandatory. This is the daytime Carnival most visitors miss by sleeping in.

Beach recovery from 2pm to 6pm, mandatory. Then Casa Black in Madureira at night: the Afro-Brazilian party in the North Zone, pagode and Black music, a room that tells a different story than the Ipanema circuit. The best way to understand what Rio is made of.

Farme de Amoedo gay beach, Ipanema
Day 03 · Gay Beach + Night Options

Farme de Amoedo all day. Production party at night.

Posto 9 and Farme de Amoedo is the gay strip of Ipanema beach. Chairs, caipirinhas, the crowd that came here specifically for this. Late morning until sunset. This is the beach day the rest of the week earns.

Gay Carnival week runs 10+ production parties and circuit events across the dates. Your Concierge tracks the calendar and has tickets locked before you land. Tonight one of them falls. You will be briefed before you leave the apartment.

Recovery day, sleeping in
Day 04 · Candyland Camarote

Sleep in. Beach. Sambadrome at 9.

Candyland doesn't start until 9pm. The morning and afternoon are yours: sleep in, slow beach, a real meal before the long night. Your Concierge checks in by 5pm with transport timing and a reminder to eat something.

Candyland is the gay camarote at the Sambadrome: an elevated open-air party box directly above the parade route. Open bar, costume encouraged, the top samba schools passing 10 feet below you for 7 hours straight. Starts 9pm, ends near dawn. You will be standing until sunrise and you will not care.

Sambadrome, Rio Carnival
Day 05 · Recovery + Circuit Night

Slow morning. Beach or bloco. Circuit party at midnight.

You were up until 6am. The morning does not exist before noon. Sleep, eat something real, move slowly.

Afternoon: beach or catch a bloco if one falls near you today. A long lunch, something heavy, something with electrolytes. This is not downtime. This is preparation.

Second recovery window in the evening. Home by 9pm. You are not leaving before midnight. One of the gay production circuit parties starts late and runs until 5 or 6am. Your Concierge has the tickets and the transport handled.

Day 06 · Beach Day + The Home Eve

Late rise. Beach. In early for The Home.

You closed a circuit party near dawn. Take the morning back. Slow start, beach in the afternoon, one good meal. Rasta Beach if you want the crowd and a caipirinha without the commitment. No hard nights tonight.

The Home runs Saturday into Sunday afternoon. Bryant has been through this six times. The groups that arrive charged close it at noon. The ones that arrive empty hit a wall at 3am. Tonight you are in bed.

The Home Saturday night, Rio de Janeiro
Day 07 · The Home + Florida

The Home on Saturday. Florida as the after-hours.

The Home Saturday night into Sunday afternoon. The main gay circuit night in Rio: international crowd, multiple rooms, the kind of production that justifies the ticket price. BBE guests get free VIP entry coordinated in advance.

If you're still standing after The Home closes: Florida as the after-hours. The room where The Home's crowd moves to continue. Your Concierge handles safe transport for both legs. Most people leave Sunday afternoon and go directly to brunch, the beach, or the airport. All three are valid.
