★ Day by Day

Two Days. The Real Rio.

Not a bus tour, not a TripAdvisor loop. The two days that give you the cultural core of this city and leave you ready for a second trip.

Ipanema beach at golden hour, Rio de Janeiro
Day 01 · Arrival + Ipanema

Land. Walk to Posto 9. First caipirinha.

Your Concierge meets you at GIG with private transport to the neighborhood. Quick 15-minute walk-through of your block: the corner padaria, the fruit stand, where to get a fresh coconut on the way to the beach. No agenda after that.

Posto 9 of Ipanema for your first afternoon. The Black-cultural corner of the beach. Order something from the beach vendors, swim if you want, watch the volleyball. This is the most famous stretch of sand on earth and it takes about 20 minutes to understand why. Dinner at a Bryant-vetted neighborhood spot, early night. Tomorrow starts early.

Christ the Redeemer statue, Rio de Janeiro
Day 02 AM · Christ + The Waterfall

Christ the Redeemer. Plus the waterfall 95% of tours drive past.

Cristo Redentor, one of the seven wonders of the world. We take the train up, which gives you the best views of the city on the way. We time it before the crowds hit. At the top: the 360-degree view, the city spread out, the bay, the Sambadrome, all of it at once. It takes people's breath away even when they've seen the photos a hundred times.

On the way down, we stop at a hidden waterfall on the Tijuca forest trail that 95% of tours drive straight past. It's a 10-minute walk in. Worth every minute. If you want to combine both in one route, we arrange private transport instead of the train. Back down to Ipanema for lunch.

Rasta Beach, Leme
Day 02 PM · Rasta Beach

Rasta Beach with Jonas. The afternoon that converts people.

Rasta Beach at Leme, Post 1. Past Copacabana, where the beach flips from tourist to local. Jonas (former professional beach volleyball player) is usually working the net if you want a session. Or just find a chair under a palm, order a cold beer, and let the afternoon happen.

This is where most first-timers decide they need to come back for longer. Different crowd from Ipanema, different energy, drums in the background, the kind of afternoon that costs nothing and is worth everything.

Live samba in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro
Day 02 Night · Lapa Samba

Dinner at Churrascaria Palace. Then live samba in Lapa.

Churrascaria Palace in Copacabana for dinner: the all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse that everyone who comes to Rio needs to do once. Servers circling with swords of meat until you flip a card from green to red. Order the caipirinha first.

After dinner, we walk into Lapa, the bohemian neighborhood where live samba spills out of every door. No cover on the right nights, drinks cheap, the crowd mixed. This is the version of Rio nightlife that guidebooks describe but rarely locate correctly. Your Concierge knows where to go based on the night of the week.

Sugar Loaf at sunset over Guanabara Bay
Day 03 (Optional) · Sugar Loaf + Departure

Pão de Açúcar cable car. Then airport.

If you have a third day: Sugar Loaf cable car in the morning, the two-stage ascent over Guanabara Bay before the tourist rush. Breakfast at the summit cafe. Down by noon, last beach, final lunch.

Late afternoon airport transfer. For most people, 2 days is enough to understand what Rio is. 3 days is enough to fall in love with it.
